Experienced Commercial, institutional, & Industrial Electrical Estimator/Project Manager Needed

  • Familiar with a computer based estimating software.
  • Must have knowledge of the N.E.C.
  • Preparation of estimate to include reading and comprehension of the following : job specifications, blueprints, and related documents.
  • Candidate should be able to provide a complete & accurate list of materials required for completion of project based on all provided documents.
  • Must be highly organized, and able to follow procedures. Must be able to manage time lines and work with other members of our team.
  • Applicant should possess strong organization skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
  • Candidate must have good communication skills and be proactive versus reactive.
  • Must have strong leadership skills and background in overseeing projects & working with clients.

Senior Electrical Engineer Needed

Currently, Brown Electric is providing Engineering Services for a variety of customers in the following industries:

  • Health Care
  • Manufacturing
  • Food Industry
  • Commercial

The Ideal candidate will have medium and low voltage experience in Power Distribution, Power Generation, Motor Control, Lightning, Grounding, Specification Writing, Studies, and Cost Estimating. The Candidate should have a thorough knowledge of the NEC and industry codes.

The primary responsibilities for this position include:

  1. Perform power system studies including short circuit, load flow, arc flash, motor starting and relay coordination using SKM software preferred
  2. Development of project scope, cost estimates, and assist with engineering proposal development
  3. Manage multiple electrical projects and maintain budget and schedule
  4. Interface with customers and field electricians

Desired Skills:

  1. Electrical power systems experience
  2. Exposure to control systems
  3. Experience in a Lead role in a project team
  4. Comfortable in a field environment
  5. Minimum of 9 years experience

Education

B.S. Engineering in Electrical Engineering.

Licenses/Certifications

P.E. License or ability to obtain within one year

Project Management training and/or certification is a plus

Language Skills

Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
